📌 Position Details

Post: Assistant General Manager (Law)
Grade: E6
Scale of Pay: ₹90,000 – ₹2,40,000 (IDA)
Discipline: Law
Number of Posts: 1 (Unreserved)
Location: Corporate Office, Kolkata

📌 Eligibility Criteria:-

Essential Qualifications–

Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Commerce/Science/Engineering/Professional Studies (BBA/BCA etc.) AND
Bachelor’s Degree in Law, including five-year integrated BA/B.Sc./B.Com/BBA LLB.

Preferred Qualification–

LLM (Master of Laws)

Experience–

Minimum 14 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field (as of 01/05/2025).
Experience must be in legal practice, excluding teaching or research roles.
Internal HCL candidates should have at least one year of service in the next lower pay scale.

Age Limit–

Maximum: 52 years (as of 01/05/2025)

📌 Preferred Experience Profile

At least 5 years handling cases before courts, tribunals, quasi-judicial bodies, and other forums.
Experience in arbitration cases and thorough knowledge of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act.
Drafting/interpreting commercial documents, agreements, contracts, pleadings, replies, notices, affidavits, deeds, claims, letters, etc.
Providing legal opinions and vetting documents related to the company’s business.
In-depth knowledge of applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

📌 Selection Process

Personal Interview: 100% weightage.
Shortlisted candidates will be notified via email for the interview.
Document verification will be conducted during the interview. Original documents must be produced.

📌 Service Agreement Bond

Selected candidates must serve HCL for a minimum of 3 years.
A service bond of ₹3,00,000 must be executed at the time of joining.
