Power Grid Apprenticeship Recruitment 2025 – North-Eastern Region

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has released the Apprenticeship Recruitment 2025 for its North-Eastern Region (NER). This recruitment drive aims to engage eligible candidates for one-year apprenticeship training across states such as Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Tripura. Vacancies are available in multiple trades including ITI Electrician, Diploma in Electrical and Civil Engineering, Graduate Engineering (Electrical, Civil, Electronics/Telecom) and HR Executive. These apprenticeship positions are purely temporary and are meant for skill development and practical training; completion of apprenticeship does not assure permanent employment in POWERGRID.

Candidates applying for this recruitment must have completed a full-time ITI, Diploma, or Degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized institute or university. The qualification should have been passed within the prescribed period, and applicants must be minimum 18 years of age on the date of application. Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship training or possess more than one year of work experience are not eligible. Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend as per norms: around ₹13,500 for ITI trades, ₹15,000 for Diploma holders, and ₹17,500 for Graduate and equivalent apprentices, providing financial support throughout the training period.

The selection process will be strictly merit-based, prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination, followed by document verification and medical examination. There will be no written test or interview for this recruitment. Interested candidates must first register themselves on the appropriate apprenticeship portal—NAPS for ITI candidates or NATS for Diploma/Degree candidates. After registration, applicants need to submit the online application through the official POWERGRID website within the stipulated dates. Candidates are advised to apply for only one trade and one location, as multiple applications may lead to rejection.
